A short story about the eternal conflict between morality and honour on the one side, and greed and arrogance, on the other. Events take place in a faraway and mystic land where scientific progress and moral decay have reached levels vastly different from what we know.

This is my own treatment of the “Year 2012” phenomenon and the notions of the end of the world. The fantastic element here gives way to the mystical and the fear of the unknown. A calm, non-apocalyptic plot that unfolds both close to and far away from Bulgaria, and reaches a completely unexpected end.

This is a story about the gullibility and unfulfilled ambitions of youth. A classic piece of science fiction where events take place in a multifaceted and versicoloured universe inhabited by plenty of diverse living creatures.

The most dismal and dispiriting text I have ever written. There is plenty of suspense in it but it is also quite unusual. It may provoke moral dilemmas in some people. The plot is generally social. I lay emphasis on religious mysticism and dogmatism rather than on the science–fiction aspect. I would define this story as eligible for the dark fantasy genre.

This is one of my most abstract short stories. There is no clearly discernible idea in it and I’d rather call the plot vague. The reader is likely to discover elements of the genre of the Western. I think it is quite a vivid story in terms of its effect and definitely creates a positive mood. One of the few instances in my prose where I speak of firearms.

This oeuvre is perhaps difficult to categorise as a short story because it is too short. I’ve put it here because I figured it was pointless to create a dedicated section for a single work. I’ve endeavoured to capture a momentary emotion in prosaic, rather than poetic, form. I believe it worked out well.

This is neither a sci–fi, nor a fairy–tale short story. Events take place by the sea, in a big and bustling holiday resort. This is one of the few cases where I’ve tried to look at events from a perfectly trivial viewpoint. I believe that big seaside resorts are places where one can witness all sorts of “wonders” in human relationships.
